College football DFS running back picks November 19:

Top Tier:

Xazavian Valladay wont break the slate because nearly everyone will own him. Utah State is one of the worst run defenses on the planet and Valladay is the best back in a conference full of them. Build around Valladay here.

We saw last week what Jaylen Warren is capable of. He ran for 136 yards on just nine carries. The Aggies will likely try to lean on the run game more to help Peasley get comfortable in the game. It’s going to be hard to do against Wyoming and this is not a good matchup, but Warren really only needs to break one to make him worth using.

Middle Tier:

T.K. Wilkerson needs to find the end zone to make him worth using. He hasn’t topped the century mark in any of his three games as the starter, but he has found the end zone four times. Tulane’s run defense is going to give him some issues. I’m not 100% sold on Wilkerson in this one.

Tulane had eight players notch a carry against Army last week. EIGHT! This is a DFS nightmare. Amare Jones had the only touchdown and led the team in yards despite just five carries. It’s going to be similarly tough against Tulsa, but Jones is cheap enough that he wont kill you.

Bargain Shoppers:

Given how bad Utah State’s run defense is, I expect a healthy number of carries for Trey Smith even though he is the backup to Valladay. His ceiling isn’t all that high, but Smith does have three touchdowns and 27 carries over the last two games.

Stephon Huderson tied for the Tulane lead in carries last week. The other, Cameron Carroll, was the starter coming into the debacle. Judging by the fact that the Wave held an open audition during the game, the faith in Carroll is practically gone. Huderson has a puncher’s chance at a solid game here.
