FLEX Option: Damien Harris $5,800

It’s clear who the top running back is in New England now. Damien Harris rushed for at least 14 carries in the last three matchups. In two of those three games, he had more than 100 yards. The one problem with Harris as an option is Cam Newton steals a lot of his touchdowns, but eventually he will find paydirt.

There are a lot of options in New England, with James White and Rex Burkhead also in the backfield, but Harris is still the top option. Also, the Patriots have been rushing a ton as of late. Last week in their win against the Ravens, they ran the ball 39 times. Weirdly, none of those went to James White. Harris actually got 22 of those carries.

At $5,800, you are getting a starting running back who has been easily running for 100 yards. Now, he’s facing a Houston Texans team that just allowed both Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt to run for 100 yards in the same game. The Romeo Crennel defense is not what it used to be.

Harris is going to have plenty of opportunities to get big runs. He could even break one for a long touchdown, similar to what Chubb almost did at the end of the game. Newton will also get the opportunities, but Harris is going to get the bulk of the runs.

Other Low-Cost Options: Jonathan Taylor $5,700, J.D. McKissic $5,600
