College football DFS wide receiver picks November 20:

Top Tier:

No Rondale Moore, no problem! David Bell has been almost as explosive for Purdue and is the best play on this slate. Minnesota’s pass defense is almost as bad as their run D. I like this better if O’Connell is in, but even if Plummer is the QB, Purdue will go to Bell early and often.

I’m a big fan of Rashod Bateman, but his inefficient quarterback makes him a risky play. It’s difficult to work both Bateman and Bell into the lineup, and I think you have to use Bell for the massive upside. That will lead to lower ownership on Bateman if you’re willing to take the risk on someone priced this high.

Middle Tier:

If Tutu Atwell can play, he’s a decent option, but the middle tier of WR is kind of no man’s land. There isn’t much here, and definitely not anything worth fading the top options for. There are huge gaps at both RB and receiver on this slate. That will mean much lower ownership in the middle tier if you want to try to attack from that point.

Being the best receiver for New Mexico is a bit like being the best singer in kindergarten. It doesn’t amount to much unless someone calls you for a commercial audition. Emmanuel Logan-Greene has double digit DraftKings points in both games. Jordan Kress has big play ability, but the Lobos pass so infrequently that he’s a huge risk priced this high. He is dependent on the big play and that may not be there against Air Force.

I’d much rather use Milton Wright, who is John Taylor to David Bell’s Jerry Rice. That’s not a bad thing. No matter who starts at QB for Purdue, they’re going to throw. It’s what they do. Wright is a nice play for the price

Bargain Shoppers:

Much like Bateman, I like Taj Harris. I really don’t like the inconsistency at QB. Unlike Bateman though, Harris has a solid matchup and a much lower price point. That makes him worth a look in GPP formats.

If Atwell is out, lock in Dez Fitzpatrick. He is way too cheap anyway. I’ll use him some even if Atwell plays. If Atwell is out, he’s a lock.

Nykeim Johnson is really cheap, but there’s a reason for that. He is very touchdown dependent, but this could be a game where he gets it. Louisville’s pass defense is a bit of a sore spot.

So you want to use a UMass guy, huh? Chug a bottle of Pepto and zero in on Sam Emilus, who is the target leader. That doesn’t mean much. There’s almost no upside. I’ll be very surprised if the Minutemen score a touchdown on this defense.
