Eagles fan returning Cowboys fan’s wallet is another 2020 plot twist no one expected
Is this the biggest plot twist of 2020? Can these franchises get along?
One thing people know around the NFL is the toxic relationship between fans of the Eagles and Cowboys. For over 50 years, the two franchises have rarely seen eye to eye on anything other than their pure disdain for another.
So what happens when an Eagles fan helps out the down-trodden Cowboys fan? Well, you get the biggest plot twist of 2020.
According to a Reddit thread, an Eagles fan found the wallet of a Cowboys supporter during the team’s matchup in Week 8. After doing some research, the gentleman known on the note as Pat, found a way to deliver the wallet intact back to the owner.
And who here doesn’t believe in the good Samaritan story now, huh?
The two franchises are equally terrible in 2020
The 2020 year as a whole could be described as the NFC East. With the putrid performances led by angry fans and inadequate play, there isn’t really a front-runner for the division title with only a handful of games remaining on the calendar. Sitting at 3-5-1 and 2-7, both Philadelphia and Dallas are abysmal at best on the race to the division title.
The Eagles could be getting healthy at the right moment with several offensive stars returning to the lineup. Both starters Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz are expected to have a significant role on offense to help alleviate pressure off the struggling Carson Wentz.
As for the Cowboys, outside of a fumbling Ezekiel Elliott, their best bet is to hope Andy Dalton can be their guy following his return from the COVID-19/reserve list. Then again, can he also play defense on a unit that has been perhaps only the second biggest downfall of 2020?
Cheers to this Eagles fan for bringing honor to your name. And who knows, maybe the two of you could connect to watch the winner of the division get clobbered when they host a playoff game in January.
It’s not the story 2020 deserved, but it’s a refreshing taste of humanity.
