NFL Week 11: Trends which will decide each game
Pittsburgh Steelers (9-0) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8), 1:00 pm
Steelers: A year ago, Mike Tomlin’s team led the league with 38 takeaways. But an injury-riddled and problem plagued offense, minus Ben Roethlisberger for the most part, played a big part in the team turning over the ball 30 times. In 2020, the Steelers have committed just one turnover in their last three games (7 in their first 6 contests).
Jaguars: Rookie Jake Luton will make his third straight start in place of Gardner Minshew faces a Pittsburgh defense that has a habit of making things difficult for rookie signal-callers. Last week, the Jaguars dropped their eighth consecutive game. Doug Marrone’s club has allowed 20 points in each of their nine contests this season.
Atlanta Falcons (3-6) at New Orleans Saints (7-2), 1:00 pm
Falcons: Fans won’t be treated to the traditional duel between two of the best quarterbacks in the league. But Falcons’ veteran Matt Ryan will be facing the Saints for the 24th time in his 13-year career. He’s thrown for 6,848 yards (300-plus yards 12 times), 43 scores and 16 picks. He’s also been sacked a 53 times in those 23 outings.
Saints: With veteran Drew Brees on the mend, Jameis Winston will make his first start for Sean Payton’s club. And he faces a very familiar foes in the visiting Falcons, who he has faced Atlanta nine times in five seasons while he was with the Buccaneers. The six-year veteran has thrown for 2,499 yards, 25 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
