NFL Week 11: Trends which will decide each game
Dallas Cowboys (2-7) at Minnesota Vikings (4-5), 4:25 pm
Cowboys: Since opening the 2019 season with three victories, the Cowboys own a 7-15 record in their last 22 contests. That includes just two wins this year, a campaign which has seen Mike McCarthy’s team allow the most points per game in the league (32.2). And only the Texans are giving up more rushing yards per outing (157.0).
Vikings: The team begins a three-game home stand vs. the Cowboys, Panthers and Jaguars before playing three of their final four contests on the road. Since the 40-23 loss to Atlanta in which Mike Zimmer’s club gave up four offensive TDs (all via the air), Minnesota has surrendered a combined 55 points and five offensive touchdowns.
Kansas City Chiefs (8-1) at Las Vegas Raiders (6-3), 8:20 pm
Chiefs: The defending Super Bowl champions, who had some time off last week, have won four consecutive games since falling to the Raiders. The Chiefs have prevailed in those contests by a combined 137-73 count. The club has reached the end zone a combined 17 times over that span, 15 on offense and twice on defense/special teams.
Raiders: Thanks to a 40-32 victory in Week 5 at Arrowhead Stadium, the Silver and Black is in position to sweep this series for the first time since 2012 – the season before Andy Reid arrived in Kansas City. The NFL’s seventh-ranked running game, led by Josh Jacobs (700 yards), takes aim at the league’s 29th-ranked rushing defense.
