Wide Receiver: Keenan Allen $8,200

If fantasy players are going to take on a high-priced wide receiver, they need two things: a really good quarterback and a consistent flow of targets.

Keenan Allen has Justin Herbert throwing him the football. He’s been one of the best quarterbacks in football, not even keeping it to just rookies. Are there five quarterbacks you’d rather have throw to a wide receiver on the docket this week? As far as targets, Allen leads the league with 112. Only other receiver with more than 100 is Stefon Diggs.

Allen has been rolling as of late. He has at least 17 Fanduel points in four of the last five matchups. Even in that one bad game against the Dolphins, he still scored 11 points. He’s very unlikely to bottom out.

The Chargers are taking on the Buffalo Bills this week. The world saw what DeAndre Hopkins did to the Bills the last time they played. He jumped over that secondary to put up a final tally of 22 points. It could be an interesting competition with Diggs and Allen as they fight to be the best possession receiver in the league.

Top receivers have burned the Bills. Beyond Hopkins, D.K. Metcalf put up a 20-point performance. AJ Brown was able to get close to it as well. The Bills have had the luxury of playing the Jets twice, the Rams, Raiders, Patriots, and Dolphins. All these teams are without a true star wide receiver. Still, this secondary has been hurt by the top players before. It’s a good bet it will happen again.
