College football DFS quarterback picks November 28:

Top Tier:

Well, Rattler is off the slate and Chip Kelly refused to comment on DTR’s status. Considering we don’t know what the malady was in the first place, this is really tough to gauge. If DTR is in there, I like him a lot on this slate. If he’s out, we likely wont find out until half of the games have already kicked off, further limiting our options.

Kellen Mond has only thrown two interceptions with his 16 touchdowns. If Trask weren’t setting fire to the SEC record books, Mond would be getting more notoriety here. This is another good sport for him against LSU. The bad news is that this game kicks off an hour before UCLA. Mond is a good pivot, but we likely wont have anything concrete on DTR by then.

You can’t blame JT Daniels for Georgia’s lackluster showing against Mississippi State last weekend. He threw for 401 yards and four touchdowns without a turnover. This is a similarly strong spot for Daniels here. I have no problem ignoring the DTR issue since we have two other really good options.

Middle Tier:

At the very least, this is an intriguing game for Brennan Armstrong. He doubles as the Virginia running attack and proved last week that he can chuck it around as well. We’re not going to see him blow up like he did against Abilene Christian, but Armstrong did put up 31.92 on North Carolina. There’s very good upside here.

The good news is Max Duggan plays Kansas. The bad news is Max Duggan plays Kansas. Duggan’s rushing ability will likely be cut back here because they wont need it to win the game. The upside is nice, but I also think the floor is still low for Duggan. TCU wont really need him.

I do like Chase Griffin if he starts for UCLA. However, I still think I like Grant Gunnell more. While Arizona’s defense continues to be a sore spot, Gunnell has put up strong numbers. UCLA’s defense doesn’t scare me.

Bargain Shoppers:

Jordan Travis is about the only healthy quarterback that Florida State has. He was exciting in the games he played before he got hurt. The Virginia defense is nothing to write home about. Travis’s armory is depleted by injuries and transfers, but there is enough left here to make him a GPP dart.

I actually think Charlie Brewer is underpriced here. His ceiling is low, but the floor is solid for a guy that runs a struggling offense. K-State just got blown up by the Cyclones last week since the offense routinely puts the Mildcats defense in precarious situations. Brewer is a strong cash play on the cheap.

If you enjoy games of chance, then you’ll love TJ Finley. the upside is there, but the floor is terrifying. Just check out the Auburn game if you don’t believe me.

Gunnar Holmberg is minimum price and was the guy that relieved an ineffective Chase Brice in Duke’s last game against North Carolina. Duke will run more than usual in this game, but we don’t need a lot from Holmberg to get what we paid for. He has completed 10 of 13 passes so far, so there’s intrigue.
