Mitchell Trubisky provided Bears fans with a fiery pregame speech.

The Chicago Bears are facing a critical moment for the franchise Sunday night. The team is 5-5 this season and Mitchell Trubisky is back in as the starting quarterback. How he performs Sunday and for the remainder of the season will determine more than just his own future.

All he can do now is focus on the task ahead of beating the Green Bay Packers. The quarterback got the night started by giving a pregame speech to his teammates that will also have Bears fans fired up.

Trubisky rallies his team Sunday night

This is amazing to see. Trubisky was benched this year, only to return because Nick Foles is injured. He never complained and isn’t begrudgingly making his return. This speech proves he is perhaps even more motivated than before to succeed.

It is hard not to get pumped up when seeing the quarterback talking about heart in what could realistically be his final NFL start for some time if he has a bad night. He can truly have a career-changing night with a big game and Bears fans may look back on that speech as the launching point if all goes well.

But let’s take it one moment at a time. Trubisky still needs to play a good game and the skill players around him need to step up as well to make sure the Bears get more than the 19 points they average per game this season.

The Bears took a risk by drafting Trubisky with the No. 2 overall pick in 2017. That has GM Ryan Pace on the hot seat where he joins head coach Matt Nagy. Now both men will look to the former top pick to save all of their jobs and reputations Sunday night.
