Tyreek Hill – Kansas City Chiefs

It is impossible to begin this week’s look at the fantasy stars and studs anywhere else. Hill was a monster for the Chiefs as he delivered one of the all-time great fantasy performances in Kansas City’s narrow win over the Buccaneers.

Hill caught 13 passes for 269 yards and three touchdowns, earning him a massive 57.9 points in PPR leagues. His was comfortably the best performance by any receiver in Week 12 but it did not come close to being the most productive fantasy day in NFL history.

That honor still belongs to Jerry Rice, whose devastating display for the San Francisco 49ers against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6 of the 1990 season saw him net 65.5 points in PPR scoring, according to Matthew Berry of ESPN. Rice had 13 receptions for 225 yards and five touchdowns.

But the fact Hill’s showing is even being mentioned in the same breath as that of the greatest receiver in NFL history is indicative of just how well the Chiefs are clicking as they enter the stretch run.

Hill is not going to put up nearly 60 points every week. However, his rapport with Patrick Mahomes continues to get more destructive and Hill is an X-factor with the big-play upside to decide fantasy matchups on a weekly basis.
