An overwhelming amount of the attention that is placed on the AFC West is primarily paid to the Kansas City Chiefs. This is fair and warranted, but there should be more eyes locked on the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders handed the Chiefs the team’s first loss of the 2020 season and nearly dealt them another loss in Week 11. Las Vegas is playing well, and that is largely due to the play of quarterback Derek Carr.

One thing you may not have known is that this offense is one of the higher-scoring units in the NFL. Carr himself has also been one of the better quarterbacks in the league this season as well.

Carr could be that Tom Brady replacement that you need in Week 13. The Raiders play the New York Jets this week, which is a handsome matchup for Carr. Currently, the Jets have been one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL.

So far, Carr has had multiple touchdown throws in seven of the 11 games he has played. In three of those seven games, Carr has thrown for three.

When you look at Carr’s overall body of work, he is a quarterback who completes a high volume of his passes and does not turn the ball over often. This all bodes well for you as a fantasy player.

The Jets give up a lot of production through the air, and Carr and company have found their groove. Carr has the potential to pick apart this New York defense with weapons such as Darren Waller, Josh Jacobs, Nelson Agholor, and Henry Ruggs III.
