Defense: Las Vegas Raiders $4,300

The Las Vegas Raiders defense is not good. This isn’t going to blow smoke up a defense that doesn’t deserve it. This is clearly a matchup decision. The Raiders are taking on the New York Jets, the worst offense the NFL has seen in a long time.

Sam Darnold was bad again. He threw two bad interceptions against the Miami Dolphins. Now, he faces a Raiders defense that is desperate. It’s a Raiders defense that just gave up 43 points against the Atlanta Falcons this week. That’s unacceptable, and head coach Jon Gruden will likely remind them of the beating they took this past Sunday.

That motivation shouldn’t be too hard to turn into execution against a Jets offense that hasn’t ever looked good with Darnold under center. The Jets say they are sticking with the young gun, but those accuracy issues will not fix themselves in one week. The Raiders could score multiple defensive touchdowns, and this could be the highest-scoring defense on the week. Again, this isn’t to pump up the Raiders’ defense. This is to bet against a New York Jets offense that is the easiest to bet against in the league.
