The Titans need to be on upset alert against the Browns

Let’s stay in the AFC South with the Titans, who picked up a huge win in Indianapolis on Sunday. The win was massive for Tennessee, which had dropped 20 of their previous 24 games against the Colts, to seize control of the division race with five weeks to go.

The dominance that the Titans displayed in the game was incredible and certainly offered a ton of confidence in the eyes of the sportsbooks. Tennessee is playing another 8-3 team this week in the Cleveland Browns but they are currently favored by a whopping 5.5 points at home.

Part of that line shift is due to Cleveland’s uninspiring performance in Jacksonville, where they struggled to get past the 1-10 Jaguars on Sunday. There is no question that the Browns haven’t always been pretty to watch but they do find a way to pick up wins based on their strong defense and running game.

That formula will keep Cleveland in pretty much any game so the Titans will need to play their A-game in order to avoid getting upset here. A loss wouldn’t be the end of the world for Tennessee but it would put their division lead in jeopardy so taking care of the Browns at home would be well advised for Mike Vrabel’s team.
