New England Patriots (5-6) at Los Angeles Chargers (3-8), 4:25 pm

Patriots: The team is a win away from evening its record for the season. Bill Belichick’s ground attack, averaging a brisk 149.6 yards per game on the ground (5th in the NFL), looks to exploit the league’s 18th-ranked rushing defense in the Chargers. But New England’s 17 turnovers is two more than the Patriots totaled a season ago.

Chargers: Offense hasn’t necessarily been the problem for Anthony Lynn’s club, which must run the table to avoid a second straight losing campaign. The Chargers have surrendered a minimum of 27 points in each of their last eight outings. The Bolts have allowed 33 offensive touchdowns while the team has forced only a dozen turnovers.

Denver Broncos (4-7) at Kansas City Chiefs (10-1), 8:20 pm

Broncos: Last week’s disaster vs. the Saints was the team’s third loss in the last four games. The Broncos expect to have Drew Lock back this week but he will have to play much better. He has nearly half (12) of Denver’s NFL-high 26 turnovers. After finishing plus-1 in turnover margin in ‘19, the Broncos are a league-worst minus-15 this year.

Chiefs: The team is riding a six-game winning streak but their last three contests – victories over the Panthers (33-31), Raiders (35-31) and Buccaneers (27-24), respectively – have been decided by a combined nine points. The club has beaten Denver 10 straight times, including a 43-16 victory in Week 7, and clinches a playoff berth with a win.
