The Bengals and Dolphins have some surprising bad blood.

An in-game fight that resulted in the ejections of Xavien Howard and Tyler Boyd wasn’t the only violence from the Bengals and Dolphins game. In the second half, a cheap shot by Mike Thomas had Brian Flores heated. The Dolphins followed their coach into battle, which resulted in a brawl that didn’t remotely resemble a handshake line.

Players from both teams met on the sideline, and there was plenty of pushing and shoving after the final whistle. While the Dolphins had the lead, it’s an ugly look during what’s supposed to be a moment of pure sportsmanship in a game between two teams that, on the surface, don’t have much against each other.

Mike Thomas started a brawl all on his own

Thomas had two controversial hits that Miami wasn’t happy about, hence Flores taking the field and angrily shouting in their direction. While this isn’t the Bengals of old, with Vontaze Burfict frequently throwing out punishing blows, it’s a bad look for Cincy.

Thomas will surely be hearing from the league office about this one, as he hit Dolphins punt returner Jakeem Grant long before he had a chance to field the ball. This, of course, started the conflict at hand.
