With a win over the Bengals on Sunday, Tua Tagovailoa and Miami are 8-4 on the season and continue to turn heads.

Out of nowhere, the Miami Dolphins are 8-4 and are looking like serious threats over in the AFC. Behind their strong defense and great play from rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on Sunday, the Dolphins had little issues taking down the Bengals in Week 13.

The confidence is no question riding high for this team following their most-recent showing. However, things are about to get quite tricky next weekend. That’s because Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are next up on the schedule.

The Miami Dolphins will have a huge test next week going up against the Chiefs

In the strong win over the Bengals on Sunday, Tagovailoa reminded folks why Miami used its first-round pick on him, as he was throwing the ball all over the field, finishing with 296 yards and a touchdown. In addition to Tagovailoa, how about the showing of tight end Mike Gesicki?

The New Jersey native caught nine balls for 88 yards and a touchdown to lead the way for Miami, highlighted of course by an incredible one-handed grab for a score.

As good as Miami is feeling right now, they won’t have too much time to celebrate the victory. That’s because they indeed will need to take on the Chiefs next weekend. With Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and others on the way, the Miami defense will surely have its hands full trying to contain the Kansas City offense.

With that said, this Miami team is playing with plenty of confidence. And while there’s plenty of folks out there who don’t think they’re serious contenders in the AFC, the team will have a chance to prove they belong against the defending Super Bowl champs in Week 14.

It’s a task that will surely be easier said than done. All eyes will be on Tagovailoa to see how he fares going up against Mahomes for the first time in his young career. We’re going to find out a lot about this Miami team come next Sunday.
