Pete Carroll’s team was alone atop the NFC West when it hosted the surging New York Giants on Sunday. But when it was all said and done, the Seahawks’ supposedly-improved defense could not handle Big Blue’s running game, allowing a whopping 190 yards rushing to Joe Judge’s club. Meanwhile, Russell Wilson was sacked five times and turned over the ball twice. And Seattle wound up with a season-low 12 points and their first home loss of 2020.

Mike Vrabel’s AFC South-leading team wound up digging itself in a huge hole at home on Sunday as the visiting Browns opened up a 38-7 halftime lead while Tennessee’s defense surrendered 344 total yards. It was the sixth time in 12 games this season that the Titans allowed 30-plus points. And since opening the year with five straight wins, the Titans are just 3-4 in their last seven games – with three of those four setbacks coming at Nashville.

The Rams stub their toes at home last week against the battered San Francisco 49ers and now faced another divisional foe in the Cardinals. Sean McVay’s team had bested Arizona six consecutive times and scored at least 31 points in each of those wins. And both of those streaks continued on Sunday as Jared Goff threw for 351 yards and one score and ran for another. For the second straight game, cornerback Troy Hill returned a turnover for a score.
