J.J. Watt makes awesome gesture for young fan and hearts are melting
Houston Texans star J.J. Watt might terrorize quarterbacks, but he’s truly a gentle giant with a warm heart.
Anyone who has ever seen J.J. Watt play football understands how scary he can be in the trenches. One of the greatest pass rushers to ever grace the sport in the past decade, the Houston Texans star has terrorized quarterbacks and offensive linemen for years off the edge.
However, when looking at the world outside of football, it’s easy to see Watt just being a big teddy bear and kind-hearted. Sunday’s pregame matchup before the Indianapolis Colts.
During individual stretches, Watt saw a young girl wearing his No.99 jersey with her family over the stands. Hoping the fence, the star of the defense met with the little one, giving her a football and smiling before heading back to practice.

Certainly, it was a moment her family will always treasure. More than that, social media took it by storm, seeing people comment on the simple gesture of human kindness.
Watt making his presence felt in Houston for a little while longer
It was the only win Houston fans would see Sunday at NRG Stadium following a 26-20 defeat late. Thanks to a poor snap from Nick Martin to Deshaun Watson, Indianapolis’ Anthony Walker Jr. recovered the ball in the red zone, sealing a victory for the surging Colts.
Watt’s face tells the story of how lost the Texans’ season has become.
There’s no telling with a new general manager and head coach entering the building if Watt will be kept long-term. With one year remaining on his mega-contract, he could be released if the team elects to completely rebuild this offseason after the mistakes made by GM/coach Bill O’Brien.
Watt has stated in the past that he would also like to play for a contender before he calls it a career. Will Houston be contending in the coming seasons?
No matter the outcome of his future, the present Watt has made an impact on those in Houston. Not only has his charity helped families dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, but his constant love towards the fan base should never go unnoticed.
For that, Watt will always get a “W” while calling NRG Stadium his home.
