The offseason drama continues for James Harden and the Houston Rockets after he was spotted partying in Vegas instead of reporting to camp early.

With the NBA’s opening night a little more than two weeks away, it looks like James Harden isn’t quite ready to start grinding to help Houston get back to the postseason. He’s too busy having the time of his life in Sin City.

Over the weekend, reports surfaced stating Harden would not be with the team to start training camp. However, it’s since been revealed that Harden chose to stay in Las Vegas to party it up rather than make his way to Houston to start working out with his teammates. Unreal.

The offseason has been nothing short of dramatic for Harden and the Rockets. Things reached a new level with the team deciding to trade Russell Westbrook to Washington for John Wall. Harden has made it pretty clear he’s not happy with the situation in Houston too.

He’s supposed to be the leader of this team. What kind of a message is he sending to the youngsters on the roster if he’s not there for the first day of camp, and then everyone finds out it’s because he’s more focused on spending time and money at the clubs in Vegas?

Rumors continue to swirl the Rockets may end up washing their hands with Harden and trade him before the season gets underway. Should a blockbuster trade go down, it’ll have a major impact on how things play out in the Western Conference in 2020-21. We’ll see if Harden stays with the Rockets or not, but his new campaign is already off to a troubling start.
