College football DFS quarterback picks December 10:

Top Tier:

This is one of the more interesting quarterback pools we’ve had on a small slate this season. The dual threat of Javion Posey is atop the pricing, and maybe it shouldn’t be. Posey is a great runner, but his passing skills are a little lacking early in his career. Still, I don’t think the Owls turn to Nick Tronti again unless they are desperate. He did nothing with his shot at redemption against Georgia Southern. Posey should at least play the full game, so there is decent potential here.

Middle Tier:

Georgia Tech wont replace Jeff Sims under center no matter how bad it gets. Pitt’s defense is still pretty strong. Sims is a more accomplished passer than Posey at this stage of their careers and both are really good runners. That said, Pitt doesn’t allow much on the ground. Sims is a huge risk here.

Kenny Pickett is the best passer on this slate and it’s not close. There’s a chance that Pitt blows the Bees out, but I don’t know I would count on that. Pickett was ineffective against Clemson so it shrunk his price. Five turnovers will do that to you. This is redemption for Pickett, and we get it at a very nice discount.

Bargain Shoppers:

There has been no news on whether Tate Whatley will play in this game or not. I would imagine he will since he was questionable against UTEP early in the week before that game was COVIDed. I have little to no interest in Whatley or his backup Trey Lowe. This FAU defense is a strong unit and the USM offense wasn’t moving the ball well even when they did play.
