College football DFS wide receiver picks December 11:

Top Tier:

Wow, Jaelon Darden is expensive. He’s also worth it. Regardless of if you’ve been watching him for over a year or if you just discovered him on national TV last week, you can see the talent this guy has. Darden is in for another monster day.

San Jose State’s pass defense has been solid, but Romeo Doubs is still in play because of the target shares. Doubs has 18 more receptions than any other wide receiver and nearly 400 more yards than second place. He also has nine of the 21 passing touchdowns. Doubs doesn’t have the ceiling of Darden, but no one does.

If UTEP is really going to adapt and turn into a passing team for this game, it could be a huge spot for Justin Garrett. Garrett has 14 receptions over the last two games and this is the weakest defense the Miners have played in two months. I like the upside for Garrett here. He seems like less of a risk than most of this tier.

Middle Tier:

I do like Bailey Gaither, but what if San Jose State decides they would rather run again? Gaither’s floor is terrifying for someone at that price.

I’m a huge fan of Frank Darby, but with the issues that Arizona State has had in the passing game, he’s a sizeable risk. Still, it’s better to chase the upside of Darby than a guy like Tory Horton who had a ceiling game last week and will go overowned because of it.

Bargain Shoppers:

The volume is there for Stanley Berryhill, but his production took a big hit when Gunnell went down. The price reflects that. The floor is still good because of the amount of targets that Berryhill gets, but don’t expect a game line that is indicative of his talent.

There’s not a ton of upside with Isaiah Holiness, but his floor is superb for a value play. Holiness has topped five points in every game. That’s a nice output for a guy under four grand.
