If you’re not sold on Josh Allen as an established starting quarterback in the NFL, you just admitted that you don’t really follow the sport too closely.
Allen is authoring a season that would, in most years, catapult him to the very front of the pack for the league’s MVP award consideration. Put simply — he’s been marvelous. The most impressive aspect of Allen in 2020 is how much better he is than 2019. He was not awful or even mediocre last year. Instead, he was “pretty good.”
His performance through Week 13 has far transcended mediocrity. Allen is carrying a team that was recently predicated on defense but has taken a step back as of late. Buffalo ranks 18th in the business in points allowed and 21st in yards allowed. That’s bottom-half-of-the-league stuff.
Allen is unfazed. The offense is the keynote feature of the 2020 Buffalo Bills. It’s the reason the 24-year-old places at No. 3 at the moment for the league’s most prestigious award.
Buffalo gets a massive test this weekend — an angry Pittsburgh Steelers team.
