MADRID, SPAIN – JANUARY 24: Walter Tavares of Real Madrid in action during the 2019/2020 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 21 match between Real Madrid and Anadolu Efes Istanbul at Wizink Center on January 24, 2020 in Madrid, Spain. (Photo by Sonia Canada/Getty Images) /

DraftKings EuroLeague Forwards:

Luke Sikma might be the best play on the entire slate. He constantly puts up good numbers and has been known to put up a massive line or two in the right matchup. Fenerbahce has given up the second most fantasy points to forwards this year. It’s matchups like this that we wait for with Sikma.

Walter Tavares was the round 12 MVP and has another very nice matchup with St. Petersburg. The St Petersburg defense stifles guards, but forwards sometimes run wild. Tavares is a prime candidate to do that.

Jan Vesely is fine for cash games, but there’s not enough upside to ride him in GPP formats. Niels Giffey is better for GPP in this price range, but the chances of both he and Sikma turning in big numbers isn’t great. Giffey is risky, but you can’t fault the matchup.

This is a really good matchup for the Baskonia frontcourt, but the only one I really trust right now is Alec Peters. Achille Polonara and Tonye Jekiri have been consistent lately as well, but it takes all of the value plays out of the equation in this frontcourt.

Will Thomas and Mateusz Ponitka are in play again because of their consistency. This isn’t a great matchup against Real Madrid, but it’s good enough with this frontcourt priced where it is.

DraftKings did us a solid and left Danilo Barthel way too cheap. Barthel has 85.25 DraftKings points over the last three rounds. He should be in just about every lineup you make.

Efes allowed Bryant Dunston his full compliment of minutes on Tuesday, so he seems to be good to go again. Dunston is an automatic 20 with a ceiling a touch over 30 at a very reasonable price.

I still like Johnny O’bryant, but I really don’t like the matchup. Johannes Thiemann looks like a better option with Lammers still sidelined. Thiemann has put up strong numbers in his absence.

Once again, DraftKings prices Gabriel Deck where he’s very tempting. Deck’s floor is low double digits, which isn’t bad considering the price. His ceiling is much higher than that though, but ceiling games have been few and far between. Only use Deck if you’re comfortable getting 10 points in that price range. Personally, Chris Singleton feels safer, especially considering the matchup.
