5. If you have both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams — start them

This tidbit of advice is fairly rare. Not once this season have we advocated starting two players from the same wide receiver room. We’d obviously and habitually recommend the combination of Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce if you are so fortunate to manage both of those players, but we seldom condone two wideouts from the same team.

The exception to the rule is Week 14, and it’s the Los Angeles Chargers. Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert will look to get back on track after his team was thrashed by Bill Belichick and the Patriots in a 2019-style spanking last week. Herbert endured easily the worst game of his new professional career, a game that put water on the fire of his Offensive Rookie of the Year candidacy.

The lightning bolts flash brighter on the other side, however. The Atlanta Falcons are on the docket this weekend, a team that ranks fourth-to-last in the NFL for opposing wide receiver fantasy points allowed. The Falcons give up an average of 26 PPR points to their competition’s wideouts.

We like Herbert to get back on track during a shootout vs. Atlanta. Shootouts equal fantasy points. Matt Ryan and Justin Herbert will fling it. Find Falcons and Chargers and start them in Week 14.
