EDGE. Miami. Gregory Rousseau. 2. player. Pick Analysis. 834. Scouting Report

Another 2020 opt-out that is taking advantage of a lack of star power at his position, Rousseau recorded an obscene 15.5 sacks as a redshirt freshman before choosing to leave Miami ahead of this season. Because of his lack of experience, Rousseau is going to take some time to get acclimated to the pro game given the amount of nuance he will need to pick up. even though he’s a bit on the raw side, pass rushers with his blend of size, speed, and production in a conference like the ACC don’t come around the block frequently, and Dallas might have no choice but to pounce on him.

Demarcus Lawrence might’ve secured the bag, but he has done little to live up to that price tag since signing his deal. Even though he isn’t playing great in Chicago, the loss of Robert Quinn has clearly created a huge hole in this Dallas defense. Aldon Smith has had some moments, but he’s. not a No. 1 pass rusher anymore. In an age where truly dominant pass rushers are becoming harder to find with each passing year, a player with the physical tools of Rousseau being available whenever Dallas picks seems too good to be true.
