Davante Adams has been in this position before, but is approaching the NFC North title with a different mentality.

Adams has won the North four times, with the latest coming on Sunday night with a win over the Detroit Lions. The Packers were able to control their own fate thanks to the Vikings loss to the Buccaneers.

A division championship is always worth celebrating, but if the Packers’ sustainable success under Aaron Rodgers (and previously Brett Favre) has taught them anything, it’s that this is just the first step. Adams, despite being just 27, is considered a veteran at this point. He’s embraced a different mentality as the Packers chase the No. 1 overall seed.

The Packers are rightly among the favorites in the NFC

Green Bay’s biggest weakness remains their run defense. It’s the same unit that was gashed by Raheem Mostert and the San Francisco 49ers in last year’s NFC Championship Game.

The Packers’ offseason moves were questioned heading into the 2020 league year. Green Bay GM Brian Gutekunst failed to add a legitimate No. 2 receiver next to Davante Adams, as Devin Funchess didn’t work out as planned. In the NFL Draft, the Packers didn’t give Rodgers another weapon, instead drafting his potential replacement in Utah State QB Jordan Love with their first pick.

Whether it’s a t-shirt, or a motto, to change things up is a smart move by Adams. The Packers have been in this position before. Whether they can finish things off is the question for the Pro Bowl wideout and the squad.
