The ‘Hawks were limited to a season-low 12 points in last week’s home loss to the Giants. Against the inept Jets, Pete Carroll’s club was down by a field goal less than five minutes into the game and responded with 40 unanswered points.
Russell Wilson was picked off once but also threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns to four different receivers. Seattle’s ground attack rolled up 174 total yards and the club scored a season-high 40 points.
The club made easy work of the struggling Jaguars and once again, running back Derrick Henry had a huge outing. He totaled 26 carries for 215 yards on the ground and two scores. Ryan Tannehill threw for 212 yards and a pair of touchdowns, one of those strikes to A.J. Brown. Mike Vrabel’s club rolled up 454 total yards in a convincing win.
The Titans are one victory away from their first 10-win season since 2008, the last time they won the AFC South.
The Rams’ defense overwhelmed New England’s offense while rookie running back Cam Akers rolled up 171 yards rushing – part of a ground attack that finished the evening with 186 yards on the ground.
Quarterback Jared Goff threw another interception but also connected with Cooper Kupp for a two-yard score. Michael Brockers had two of Los Angeles’ six sacks and Sean McVay’s team avenged that 13-3 Super Bowl LIII loss just two seasons ago.
