National Signing Day predictions for the Top 25 uncommitted recruits
- High School: IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL)
- Composite Rankings: No. 20, No. 1 OLB
The top outside linebacker recruit is still available as the early signing period approaches. Xavian Sorey is a 6-foot-3, 214-pound outside linebacker that should be considered more of an athlete for his ability to play multiple positions on both sides of the football.
And is the case with high-end recruits, Sorey is yet another dual-sport athlete having played basketball as well. His ability to glide around the field could see him playing in coverage as well as rushing the passer at the college level.
Sorey is going to be one of those defensive players that ends up filling the stat sheet because of the nose he has for the football. Playing on offense will likely give him an edge in the turnover department as he doesn’t possess the stone hands that plague other defenders.
The list has been narrowed down and the major players are Georgia, Florida and Alabama for Sorey. Georgia has been making a hard push late for Sorey and the experts are split between them and the Gators, with Alabama in the distance.
The rivalry between Georgia and Florida exists in recruiting as well. Both schools are primed to have a great early National Signing Period. This will be yet another instance where one side is going to come out with a great football player on the other end.
Prediction: Georgia
