Jonathan Taylor – Indianapolis Colts

Taylor has been a disappointment for fantasy players who anticipated a huge year for a rookie in an offense seemingly perfectly set up to enjoy success on the ground.

Indeed, fantasy managers with Taylor on their roster have had to endure consistent frustration as he has split snaps with both Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins, who have both enjoyed weeks where they have outperformed the second-round pick.

But those fantasy owners who stuck with Taylor and started him in Week 1 of the playoffs were richly rewarded as he took advantage of a favorable matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders defense and exploded for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts’ 44-27 victory. He also had two catches for 15 yards, giving him a points total of 30.5 points in PPR scoring.

Things could improve further for Taylor in Week 15 as the Colts host a Houston Texans team playing out the string and coming off a defensive performance against the Chicago Bears in which they gave up 169 yards on the ground.

A matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16 — fantasy championship week in most leagues — is likely to provide a tougher challenge but, after what he did to the Vegas defense, Taylor has another opportunity to put up huge numbers and send plenty of fantasy managers into the title game.
