Brandon Aiyuk – San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers’ playoff hopes look to be all but over following their 23-15 loss to the Washington Football Team in Week 14.

Injury-hit San Francisco needs a miracle that would be very much not in keeping with how this season has gone to progress to the postseason.

While it has been a year to forget for the defending NFC champions, their move to trade up for Aiyuk in the first round of the draft has paid dividends and the rookie receiver rewarded fantasy players who backed him to produce against a fearsome Washington defense.

Aiyuk racked up 21.9 fantasy points in PPR scoring after catching 10 of his 16 targets for 119 yards. Though he has missed two weeks through being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Aiyuk has produced 20-point efforts and found the endzone in three of his last four games.

And there is reason to believe he can be a key contributor in the final two weeks of the fantasy playoffs.

The 49ers are set to be without Deebo Samuel for the remainder of the season because of a hamstring injury and, though George Kittle is back in practice, Aiyuk now stands out as the number one target in what is a quarterback-friendly offense.

With a favorable matchup against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 15, Aiyuk is well worthy of starter consideration for the semi-finals.
