3 offseason moves Cowboys can make to fix awful defense

1. Fire Mike Nolan

Let’s not waste time on this. Mike Nolan is the biggest problem for the Cowboys and needs to be let go. For some reason, McCarthy is keeping him around for the rest of the season. Could that be a sign he’s here to stay?

Please, for the love of all that is holy, don’t.

The defensive struggles have allowed a league-high in points per game (30.2) while also allow an average of 162.7 rushing yards per game. On top of all that, tackling is putrid at best, meaning there’s little to nothing changing in practice to fix the mistakes.

Nolan once was such a hot name as a defensive coordinator that many thought he could become a head coach. Now, he’ll be lucky to work another season in the NFL after the struggles in found in Arlington.
