FLEX Options: David Johnson $5,900

The FLEX options are few and far between this week. The names in this realm include Adrian Peterson, Carlos Hyde, and Damien Harris. They have done well in the past, but those weeks are few and far between.

With David Johnson, at least there is a floor for the Houston Texans. They are taking on the Colts this week without a lot of their main weapons, so the offensive coaching staff might look to make him more of the gameplan.

Deshaun Watson needs an outlet playing against this Colts defense. At one point in his career, Johnson was the best outlet in the game. While those days are gone, he’s still a really good option.

He missed last week because he was a close contact and was added late to the COVID list, but head coach Romeo Crennell says that he expects Johnson to return.

This is a very important week for the Texans franchise. With such a weird week of matchups, there could be extra eyes on this game. Especially with Watson and Jonathan Taylor going for teams in the fantasy playoffs, they could put on a show. Expect Johnson to be one of the stars of the show.

Johnson played the Colts just two weeks ago, and he was only given 10 carries. He still put up double-digit points. This week, with some extra rest, the Texans should give him a lot more opportunity to build off the offense.

Other Low-Cost Options: J.K. Dobbins $5,900, DeAndre Washington $5,400
