3. Josh Allen, QB (Buffalo Bills)

Last Week’s Ranking: 3rd

Highest Ranking of Season: 2nd (-1)

2020 Stats: 3,641 Passing Yards, 28 Passing TDs, 9 INTs, 68.6% Comp, 103.3 Passer Rating, 6 Rushing TDs

Every week, no matter the opponent, Josh Allen’s maturation is aligned with that of a budding superstar. The only thing that would derail him now is injury. And, there is no reason to believe that would especially happen to the third-year starter.

The addition of Stefon Diggs to the Bills roster damn near has a Pippen-to-Chicago feel to it. Certainly, Allen was no Michael Jordan before 2020, but Diggs’ arrival seemed to add legitimacy to the Bills on the whole and Allen, the individual.

Suddenly, Allen is very accurate. During his freshman and sophomore NFL campaigns, he was not — at all. Once known as primarily an “arm strength guy,” Allen’s development is aided by precision. Veteran wideout Cole Beasley has also jelled with the University of Wyoming alumnus.

Buffalo has toppled the Rams, Seahawks, and Steelers in 2020. We don’t need to see any more litmus tests to determine if they are the real deal. Insert Evander Holyfield lyric.

The Bills cap off the regular season with three AFC games: at Denver, at New England, vs. Miami.
