College football DFS quarterback picks December 19:

Top Tier:

The Northwestern defense is solid, but Justin Fields has torn apart solid defenses before this year. My only question is whether the long layoff is going to affect the Ohio State offense. There are a ton of great options on this slate. Fields feels like a bit of a reach. Especially when you know Trevor Lawrence has been aching to get a piece of the Irish.

With the job the LSU defense did on Kyle Trask, I think I’m completely off of Matt Corral. I’m planning on maxing out the 20 max and I might have him once. Maybe. The LSU defense has improved a lot since week 1.

Middle Tier:

Clemson may have been the game where Ian Book turned the corner this year, but 25, while a solid score, wont put him above any of those QB’s in front of him besides maybe McCall. It’s a strong number, but not a slate-breaking one.

This is a nice matchup for Kellen Mond, but I expect the Aggies to do the bulk of their damage on the ground again. That limits his upside. Jordan Travis has much higher upside against the Swiss cheese/Wake Forest hybrid defense.

I still can’t bring myself to use Sam Hartman, so I’m going with the big upside of Max Johnson. He held his own against Florida. Johnson could be in for a huge game against Ole Miss, who still hasn’t figured out the defense thing.

Bargain Shoppers:

Levi Lewis has half a point less against CCU than Book had against Clemson. He’s $1400 cheaper. This is a really good spot for Lewis again.

We saw Wazzu get carved up by USC the last time they were in action. There’s a lot of upside for Jake Bentley here. This Utah offense hit stride against Colorado last week. Bentley feels underpriced here. So does Connor Bazelak against Mississippi State. I don’t think I would go any lower than that though.
