Former? Chargers Defensive Cooordinator. . Gus Bradley. player. 13. Scouting Report. 2.. Pick Analysis

Anthony Lynn is certainly in his final weeks as Chargers’ head coach, which means Bradley will be looking for a new job too. After a lackluster stint as Jacksonville Jaguars’ head coach (14-48 over nearly four seasons), he has led two top-10 defenses (2018 and 2019) for the Chargers and this year Bradley’s unit is top-12 in the league yardage allowed. In 2017 and 2018, the Chargers had top-10 scoring defenses under Bradley (No. 3 in 2017).

Before his four seasons as Seahawks’ defensive coordinator (2009-2012), Bradley had his first NFL coaching job under Gruden for three seasons as linebackers coach in Tampa Bay. That may be a tie that re-binds as the Raiders go into their defensive coordinator search, to say nothing of the success Bradley has had.

Of course Bradley’s candidacy for any new job is predicated on Lynn and his coaching staff being cleaned out. But logic says that’s inevitable, and it will happen immediately after the season. So a marriage between the Raiders and Bradley may not take long to be flirted with, and ultimately consummated.
