College football DFS quarterback picks December 19:

Top Tier:

This Tulsa defense is probably the best the Bearcats have faced all year, so I have some reservations about throwing Desmond Ridder out there. He’s going to have a solid game, but I don’t think there’s any way he outscores Mac Jones unless Jones gets hurt in the first quarter.

This is a really nice matchup for DTR. Like nice enough that he could outscore Jones. Stanford’s defense has had issues stopping the run this year and we all know that DTR loves to run.

Middle Tier:

Kyle Trask is a full fade for me tonight, especially when you consider that Jayden Daniels is $200 less than Trask. Sure, Ole Miss had success against Bama. A large part of that was their ability to run the ball. Florida is one of the worst rushing teams in the country. The Bama defense is going to tee off on Trask.

I don’t see Davis Mills as a particularly bad option against UCLA. This has the potential to be a high scoring affair. UCLA is in the middle of the pack in pass defense. Mills wont wow you with anything in particular that he does, but he has done a good job of taking care of the ball this season. That makes him a solid cheap option with a decent floor. Just don’t expect miracles.

Bargain Shoppers:

Chance Nolan is better than any QB on the Arizona roster, but I still don’t know that I want to run him at this defense. Nolan has done well with taking care of the ball for the most part, but he has no chance at a ceiling game here. I think there are several position players at the price or lower than can outscore him.
