College football DFS running back picks December 19:

Top Tier:

Najee Harris is one of the most consistent options out there. Florida’s run defense is solid, but the Alabama line can move Florida. Harris is going to break at least one here. You can bet on that. The question then becomes will Demetric Felton have more room to run than Harris? That’s likely.

I could see both Felton and Austin Jones having big games. Big enough to at least consider a fade of Harris. Stanford has less weapons overall than UCLA, so I like Jones a little more when it comes down to it. I don’t think you can go wrong with either one though.

Middle Tier:

I don’t know that I want to pay that much for a less than 100% Jermar Jefferson. Even if Jefferson is in, pay the little extra for Jones and/or Felton. I like Jefferson, but not so much in this spot.

Rachaad White terrorized Sparky’s in-state rival. He racked up an absurd 34.3 DraftKings points on just ten carries! White wont have quite that much success in this one, but his price looks very tantalizing for what he can do. DeaMonte Trayanum matched White’s carries but was far behind in production. Pay the extra for White if you’re not running both of them.

Bargain Shoppers:

Brittain Brown remains an excellent bargain option. Brown only gets around eight touches a game, but he almost always scores a touchdown with one of those. The touchdown dependency is off-putting, but if this is a high scoring affair, it’s a safe bet that Brown will score one.

B.J. Baylor is another solid option if Jefferson is unable to go. Baylor filled in nicely last week in the loss to Stanford. You can do worse while dumpster diving.
