This Saturday night, the NFL presents a clash of NFC teams. Let’s take a look at this FanDuel single game slate from a fantasy football perspective!

Before I discuss my FanDuel player selections for Saturday’s game, let’s take a look at the key DFS injuries for both teams and briefly review the rules for the FanDuel single game contest.

Notable DFS Injuries

Panthers: QUESTIONABLE: Tre Boston, S: Russell Okung, T: Austin Larkin, DE: Curtis Samuel, WR: Efe Obada, DE. DOUBTFUL: Dennis Daley, G: Christian McCaffery, RB.

Packers: QUESTIONABLE: Malik Taylor, WR. OUT: Jace Sternberger, TE: Simon Stepanlak, G.

Let’s shift our focus to the rules for the FanDuel single game contest. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team MVP. The FanDuel MVP accumulates 1.5 times the standard FanDuel points value.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard FanDuel points value. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the FanDuel single game contest, I recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Here are my FanDuel Player Selections for Saturday Night Football!

MVP

Aaron Rodgers, QB $16,000

I have been watching professional football for the better part of the last three decades. Through those three decades,  I have been able to watch the likes of Joe Montana, Dan Marino, and John Elway in the prime of their careers. Having stated that, my eyes tell me that Aaron Rodgers is arguably the best quarterback to ever put on a uniform in the NFL.

You maybe asking yourself if Rodgers outstanding talent translates to being a great fantasy football quarterback? That answer is simple. Absolutely! Just take a look at what Aaron Rodgers has been doing this season. The man is playing unbelievable from a fantasy perspective. Through 13 games played this season, Rodgers is currently averaging an impressive 24.4 FanDuel points a game. By the way, only two quarterbacks (Patrick Mahomes, Kyler Murray) have scored more fantasy points than Rodgers this year.

Now that we have established that Rodgers is playing great, let’s take a look at the defense he will be facing on Saturday night. Rodgers will face a Carolina Panthers team that is not having a good year on the defensive side of the football. Last week, the Panthers allowed Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock to basically do whatever he wanted offensively. Lock accumulated 280 passing yards and four passing touchdowns in the Denver win over Carolina. If Lock can put up those type of numbers what will Rodgers do to the Panthers?

Flex Plays

Davante Adams, WR $15,000

I am stacking my MVP quarterback with his favorite receiving target, Packers wide receiver Davante Adams. It has to be said that Adams has been one of the most consistent football players from a fantasy perspective this season regardless of position. Let’s just take a look at a sample of Adams recent play. In his last three games played, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has targeted Adams a whopping 31 times. Adams has turned those 31 targets into 23 receptions, 297 receiving yards, and four receiving touchdowns.

Mike Davis, RB $12,500

Earlier in this article I noted that Panthers running back Christian McCaffery is officially listed as doubtful for Saturday’s game. It certainly sounds like McCaffery will not be on the field to face the Packers. Having stated that, I think that Panthers running back Mike Davis is a nice flex play this week. Why? Well, Davis will likely draw the start at running back on Saturday night. Davis will be facing a Green Bay defense that has clearly struggled to contain running backs. Through 13 games played this season, the Packers are currently ranked 30th in the NFL in fantasy points allowed to the running back position.

Robert Tonyan, TE $10,500

Tonyan has become a rather consistent part of the Packers offense. Just look at the data. In the Packers last four football games played, Robert Tonyan has accumulated 19 receptions, 186 receiving yards, and four receiving touchdowns.

Next. NFL DFS week 15 bargain bin. dark

Additional Flex plays I like: Robby Anderson, WR $11,500: $Jamal Williams, RB $7,500: Ian Thomas, TE $7,000.

As always, good luck!
