Justin Jefferson responds to being caught on hot mic criticizing Kirk Cousins

Justin Jefferson’s response to Kirk Cousins air mailing him in the end zone is everything.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson had some choice words after quarterback Kirk Cousins could not get him the football in the back of the end zone on a goal-to-go scenario.
Minnesota fell to 6-8 on the year after falling at home to the NFC North rival Chicago Bears, 33-27. While the hot mic caught every bleeping word Jefferson said to his quarterback for failing to get him the ball, Jefferson’s response after the fact on Twitter was a hilarious one. “Y’all love blowing stuff out of proportion. And I ain’t no diva don’t get it twisted.”

The hot mic episode is more funny than it is cruel towards Cousins
Let’s be real. Cousins is best known for yelling, “you like that?!” at a camera after a big win when he was the Washington quarterback. He also has a bad track record of playing poorly in primetime and especially on Monday Night Football. Then again, he did win on Monday night recently and he did lead the Vikings to a playoff victory last season over the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome.

Jefferson is only in his rookie season out of LSU, so he has plenty of ball left in the tank. Drafted to replace Stefon Diggs in the Vikings’ receiving game, Jefferson has flourished in his first professional season. Though we can look at his numbers later to assess them, him calling out Cousins for throwing a terrible ball in the red zone and it being caught on a hot mic is amazing.
Jefferson is not a diva because he calls it as he sees it, even with a few choice words sprinkled in.
