Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 30. OT. New York Jets. Mekhi Becton. 4

Mekhi Becton was one of the four “can’t miss” offensive tackle prospects in this past year’s NFL Draft alongside Andrew Thomas, Jedrick Wills and Tristan Wirfs. Becton was deemed as the prospect with the highest ceiling but also the biggest risk. Fifteen weeks in the season, and Becton was the best of the bunch, even though he plays for the New York Jets.

It appears that the coaches and players used Becton’s team as a reason to keep him out of the Pro Bowl. Just like Jordan Poyer, Becton led all AFC offensive tackles in the fan voting. Yet, he was snubbed in favor of Laremy Tunsil, Eric Fisher and Orlando Brown.

Usually, rookie left tackles struggle in their first season, but Becton has been solid ever since taking his first snap. Through 14 games, the 6-foot-7, 363-pound tackle only allowed five sacks and committed just six penalties. Not bad for the rook. While he might have been snubbed this year, we guarantee he’ll be making multiple Pro Bowls throughout his career.
