Fantasy football: FanDuel NFL 2020 best lineup for Week 16

Wide Receiver: Julio Jones $7,500

Listen, Julio Jones is still getting a price this high because of his name value. He’s been dealing with injuries all season long, and it probably makes sense for the Falcons to just put him on IR and call it a season. Well, Jones doesn’t want that to be an option and he’s doing everything he can to get back on the field. He even took a PRP injection on his hamstring to get back on the field.

This seems a little desperate, no? Well, have you ever seen a desperate football player looking to ball out? Even when injured, even with nothing on the line, they put up monster numbers. Like McCaffrey, Jones’ health needs to be top of mind throughout the week. If he’s healthy, he’s a must-start.

He’s taking on the Chiefs this week. It was the same philosophy as last week with Michael Thomas before he was ruled out. However, the Falcons receivers outside of Jones are much better than the Saints outside of Thomas. Calvin Ridley and Russel Gage will take up much more focus from the secondary than Emmanuel Sanders and Tre’Quan Smith.

Jones has every motivation to show just how dominant he can be this week. Matt Ryan has every motivation to prove he’s still the man in Atlanta. The coaching staff is trying to prove they deserve a chance to run this back. It’s a risk, but there are risks worth taking on the slate this week.
