Wide Receiver. New York Giants. DeVonta Smith. 10. player. 31.

The New York Giants are faltering heading towards the finish line, as quarterback Daniel Jones just is not healthy enough to help this team right now. That means the team is in the hands of Colt McCoy, and while he played decently against Cleveland, it appears the Giants’ chances of winning the NFC East are fading fast.

Next season, with Jones back under center, the Giants need to make sure they bring in some talent on the outside to help him. That means using the No. 10 overall pick on DeVonta Smith, a player most consider to be a top-2 wideout in this draft class, giving Jones a No. 1 weapon on the outside.

Quarterback. Detroit Lions. Trey Lance. 11. player. 50.

The Detroit Lions have a very capable quarterback in Matthew Stafford, someone who definitely has some good years left in the NFL. However, as they turn the page on multiple areas of the franchise, they will want to go in another direction at quarterback, drafting Trey Lance here at No. 11 overall.

Lance is a guy who is going to be expected to come in and start right away, and he has the intangibles you look for in a rookie thrust into that situation. Of course, Detroit could decide to stay with Stafford, bringing in a weapon for him here, but Lance may be too tough to pass on.

12. player. 42. . Cornerback. San Francisco 49ers. Caleb Farley

The San Francisco 49ers are one of those teams we see each year that is so successful one season and struggles to maintain that level of success the next. For San Fran, it has been the injury bug that has derailed their season, and once healthy in 2021, you can expect them to challenge again in the NFC.

On defense, they need help at the cornerback position, and adding Caleb Farley at No. 12 overall would be an excellent get. This is a guy who has CB1 written all over him, and outside of Patrick Surtain II, he is as good as it gets at the position group in this draft class.
