2021 NFL Mock Draft: Trevor Lawrence heads to Jacksonville
By Brad Weiss
The Jacksonville Jaguars have likely won the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes, and the hope is that he can get this franchise back on track. With the pick they got from the Los Angeles Rams, they get Lawrence an electric weapon in the passing game, bringing in Kyle Pitts, the best tight end in the draft.
The New York Jets have missed out on Trevor Lawrence, as their win in Week 15 has landed them the No. 2 overall pick. With the selection, they get Justin Fields in our mock, and later on, with the Seattle Seahawks selection, they bring in a weapon, adding Rondale Moore to team with Denzel Mims.
The Tennessee Titans are doing their best to return to the AFC Championship Game, and they are doing that by pounding the rock with star running back Derrick Henry. On defense, they should look to add Jay Tufele to a defensive tackle spot that already has Jeffrey Simmons, giving them a young, dominant tandem.
What is going on with the Pittsburgh Steelers? Since getting out to an 11-0 start, the Steelers are 0-3, and are in danger of losing the AFC North title. Ben Roethlisberger has looked bad, and whether or not he is there next season, this offensive line could look a lot different, including at offensive tackle, where they add Samuel Cosmi.
