Scouting Report. Riley Reiff. 4.. 60. Pick Analysis. LT, Vikings. . player

Reiff was a cut candidate all last offseason, before restructuring his deal to stay right before the season started. He has had a solid season this year, but a $13.95 million cap hit for 2021 stands out. He’s also due a $5 million roster bonus on March 18, and $11.75 million of that cap hit can be avoided if he’s traded or cut.

In Brian O’Neill, the Vikings have a potential future left tackle in place. It’s probably just a matter of when he switches over from right tackle. Then 2020 second-round pick Ezra Cleveland, who has gotten run at right guard this year, can step in at the spot he actually has a future at–right tackle.

Freeing up money to address the guard position has to be on the Vikings’ radar this offseason. Kicking Reiff inside to fortify left guard might be an option too. But moving on is the more likely scenario, if only only in the interest of cap space, with pieces to move around and ultimately be just as good across the five-man front in 2021.
