NL East. player. 6. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. . Philadelphia Phillies. 1.

Being all-in has not worked for the Phillies thus far, with a playoff drought that now extends to 2011.  A reshaped front office is now led by the ultimate win-now executive in Dave Dombrowski, with Sam Fuld recently elevated to GM to replace the departed Matt Klentak.

The Phillies could certainly use a viable center fielder to replace a mashup of Scott Kingery, Adam Haseley and Roman Quinn. If catcher J.T. Realmuto is brought back that probably takes them out of any further significant moves, but while that situation remains in limbo Dombrowski is surely not going to sit on his hands.

The Phillies don’t have a top-ranked farm system right now, and with Alec Bohm and Spencer Howard making their major league debuts last season its ranking might be a bit worse going into 2021. But with the money Kiermaier is due, perhaps they could also get a lower-level prospect or a bullpen arm from Tampa Bay in a deal.
