The Green Bay Packers wide receiver is on the way to a record-setting number.

The Green Bay Packers have a chance to finish 13-3 for the second-straight season under Matt LaFleur. Most have that has been done by Aaron Rodgers, but coaching should be considered when handing out awards.

For every Batman, there needs to be a Robin. Rodgers has been the Dark Knight of Green Bay since taking over the mantle from Brett Favre. His ward in waiting? Davante Adams.

During the team’s 40-14 victory over the Tennessee Titans, Adams and Rodgers once again were dynamic in the passing attack. They finished with 11 catches for 142 yards and three touchdowns, proving they are the most unstoppable quarterback-receiver duo in the NFL.

When asked about Adams’ role with the franchise, Rodgers compared him to another Packers great who has been a standout teammate.

The name? Charles Woodson.

“I’ve said for so long that Charles [Woodson] was the best player that I played with …. It’s probably time to start putting Davante in that conversation because he is that type of player,” Rodgers told reporters. “He’s a special player.”

Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers might be the greatest duo all-time

When the game clock struck zero, the duo did more than single-handedly win a game. Rodgers and Adams now have combined for 489 completions all-time. That’s now the most of a Packers quarterback-wide receiver combination.

To look back at Adams in 2020, his numbers are nearly on point with that of Randy Moss back in 2007. In only 13 games played, Adams has tallied 109 catches, 1,328 yards and 17 touchdowns. Moss had two more touchdowns, but fewer yards and catches in that span.

Green Bay has cleared the path to make the NFC battle come through Green Bay. One more win and the Packers will earn the No. 1 seed, cementing the battle to Tampa Bay running through Lambeau Field.

When the 2020 NFL Draft ended, many believed the Packers’ class would cost them a run at the NFC title. Instead, the Packers have relied heavily on Adams and Rodgers to run the show.

Thanks to the two of them, Green Bay might be the team to beat.
