33. Stealing hits for teddy bears

This is one photo that pretty much sums up the MLB season for me. It definitely was strange when the season began this year. With no fans in attendance, many of the teams were selling cardboard cutouts of pictures of their fans to fill the seats. The Oakland Athletics had that, but also in one section of the stadium, they put stuffed animals and a cutout of some of their former great players. This picture was taken on the last out of one of the first games I covered all season. It hadn’t been a great game for pictures, so I was very excited when the left fielder leaped up to catch the ball right in front of the stuffed animals for the last out.
