DraftKings EuroLeague Forwards:

We know better than to use Luke Sikma in a poor matchup, but what about Walter Tavares? Tavares has at least 35 DraftKings points in every round since Facundo Campazzo went to Denver. He’s matchup-proof at this point, and an interesting reason to fade Shved. However, I think there’s enough value to get both in your lineup and still compete for a takedown.

This is a weak forward slate, especially with Polonara potentially missing the game. Polonara has a nice matchup if he plays, but so does the rest of the Baskonia front. Polonara feels like a trap. I’m more comfortable spending down and using Youssoupha Fall, Zoran Dragic, Tonye Jekiri, or Rokas Giedraitis instead. The wealth of options makes this mostly a DFS nightmare though.

That Baskonia front has held opposing forwards to the least amount of fantasy points this year. I’m off of everyone on the Valencia front, which strips most of my go-to value plays. All of them are too expensive for this bear of a matchup.

Devin Booker has turned in two of the better games of his Khimki career in the last two rounds. He has a nice matchup here against Kaunas to try and keep that going. However, I prefer the long-term success and consistency of Bryant Dunston. He seems to be back to normal and has an even better matchup.

This is a nice spot for Nigel Hayes, Hassan Martin, and Jonas Jerebko. However, Jerebko is about the only one I have an interest in. I find it more prudent to pay up for the sure things of Booker or Dunston.

Livio Jean-Charles is finally back to last year’s production and minutes. This is one of the better spots that we have to use him and provides solid value in the middle tier.

We may not need him though. The value tier is littered with guys who have played well of late and who have great matchups. Sasha Vezenkov, Augustine Rubit, the Baskonia players, and Joffrey Lauvergne all have plus matchups. I can see fading the entire upper tier and living in the middle at forward to pay up at guard.

If you need to go cheaper yet, both Alex Poythress and Mateusz Ponitka have played well for St. Petersburg. Neither plays more than half the game, but both are high-energy players when they are in the game.

Dragan Bender has 63.5 DraftKings points over the last three games since Deni Avdija went stateside. He’s a superb value even in the matchup isn’t as great as the other value plays.
