Start:

Ryan Tannehill, TEN, @ HOU

Ryan Tannehill needs to be on his A-game if the Titans want to not only clinch their division but make the playoffs as a whole. At 10-5, they are currently tied with the Indianapolis Colts and have the tiebreaker to get in as long as they can win in Week 17. With a wonderful matchup against the Houston Texans’ dreadful defense, Tannehill should help the Titans get the No. 4 seed in the AFC and you a championship title.

Philip Rivers, IND, vs. JAX

See Tannehill. It’s clear that this is a must-win after the Colts blew their massive lead against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now they are on the outside looking in at the playoffs as a whole. Not great. Philip Rivers has struggled to get into the playoffs for the majority of his career. A matchup with the league-worst Jacksonville Jaguars should see him perform to the max in hopes of making the playoffs.

Sit:

Patrick Mahomes, KC, vs. LAC

This will be the only time that Patrick Mahomes and sit are ever said. But that is the case in Week 17. With nothing to play for, the Kansas City Chiefs should be sitting all their stars to give them extra rest and avoid the risk of injury, Of course, there is the chance that they at least start the game before getting sat early on, but no matter the situation they will not play the whole game. His name may be Mahomes, but this week is one to not play him.

Baker Mayfield, CLE, vs. PIT

The Cleveland Browns became the second team to lose to the New York Jets this season and a lot of that had to do with their top four receivers being unavailable due to being placed on the COVID-19 list. That means there is a chance they miss the final game of the season, leaving Baker Mayfield in big trouble against an even better Steelers team. Big trouble means a must sit in Week 17.
