NBA DFS Shooting Guards:

The ceiling on Brad Beal is lower with Westbrook around, but Westbrook doesn’t kill Beal’s value the way John Wall did. Beal is a guy you can count on at the top. Booker is not. Paul George is an intriguing play if Kawhi is out since the chances of the Clippers going belly up against Minnesota aren’t good.

I always like the upside of Zach LaVine, but I like it even more if Markkanen is out. Still, it’s hard for me to prioritize LaVine over Jaylen Brown. It hasn’t been Marcus Smart picking up Kemba’s slack. It has been almost all Jaylen Brown.

The usage on RJ Barrett makes him worth a look. The Knicks have been willing to play him big minutes to start the season, so the ceiling on Barrett is higher than most in this price range. I’m also a big fan of Collin Sexton on the other side of this.

The Kings are still loaded at guard, so it is surprising that Buddy Hield has played more minutes than most of his teammates. Considering what the Kings gave up for Hield, it makes sense to showcase him. As long as they continue to do so, he’s a solid play with good upside.

I doubt that Boston will contain Victor Oladipo either, but I am wary that his stats may be inflated due to games against Chicago and New York, two of the worst teams in the East. Still, he looks like a better option than running a hot Malik Beasley against the Clippers or a suddenly overpriced Terrence Ross against the perimeter defense of the Thunder.

Lu Dort is way too cheap against the Magic. We were all spoiled by the Nets superb value last night. Dort is as good as it gets most nights. I still like Delon Wright because he has done fine with and without Rose. There’s no way he has the upside of Dort though.
